Solution to this Week's Puzzle

20220420 – Sunrise

APRIL  What does it bring to mind — new life, blooming flowers and hope for the future? Felix is sending you ciphers about hope this month.

This week’s cipher is a transposition cipher instead of a substitution cipher like we had last week.  In a transposition cipher all the letters are there, they are just rearranged.  In a substitution cipher, a symbol, number or other letter is substituted for each letter.

In this transposition cipher, the letters are arranged downward in the columns.  Take the letters and write them in a row:

TSNPTLTE
HNIRHDSO
EEGOADUR
RVHBTENH
EETLCFRO
WROEOEIP
AARMUASE

THEREWASNEVERANIGHTORPROBLEMTHATCOULDDEFEATSUNRISEORHOPE

Then try to make the letters into words that make sense.

This week’s proverb is:

There was never a night or problem that could defeat sunrise or hope. Bernard Williams
