In December, all of Felix’s sayings will be about Christmas. See if you can break his codes.
This cipher is a transposition code. The letters are all there, but not in the order you expect. Good luck breaking the cipher.
Chr ist mas isd oin gal itt les ome thi nge xtr afo rso meo net.
This week’s code is called the Space Code and it is one of the simplest codes to write. It’s also a simple code to break if you recognize that all the letter groups have the same number of letters.
The message is written as one long word,
Christmasisdoingalittlesomethingextraforsomeone.
Break the word into groups of 2, 3, or 4 letters. This cipher was broken into 3 letter groups.
There are 47 letters in the cipher. Three doesn’t divide evenly into 47 so a null letter was added to the end of the message. It is not part of the message.
This week’s solution is:
Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone.
