Solution to this Week's Puzzle

20211222 -- Season

In December, all of Felix’s sayings will be about Christmas.  See if you can break his ciphers.

This week’s code is a substitution code.  Numbers are substituted for letters.  The words are divided by  /.   To get you started is the word Angels in the code.

Angels  =  1 14 7 5 12 19

10  5  19  21  19   /  9  19  /   20  8   5   /  18  5  1  19  15  14  /   6  15  18  /  20  8  5  /   19  5  1  19  15  14

Felix decided to give you an easy cipher this week. It is Christmas week and everyone is busy.

This cipher is one of the easiest substitution ciphers to write and to break.  Because it is easy to break, it is not used very often.

You write 1 through 26 and write the alphabet next to the numbers – A=1, B=2, Y=25, Z=26

Then you write you message in numbers instead of letters.

This week’s proverb is:

Jesus is the reason for the season.
